BJP may field another Bhojpuri actress from Asansol
The BJP has announced the list of its 195 candidates in the first list published on Saturday evening, which included the high profile Asansol Lok Sabha seat.
The BJP national president JP Nadda termed the Trinamul Congress a party of ‘Terror, Mafia and Corruption’ at his party’s open session in Purbasthali here in East Burdwan and accused West Bengal’s ruling party of committing ‘massive’ irregularities in the implementation of the PM Awas Yojana (PMAY) in West Bengal and unleashing terror in ‘each and every election’.
During his speech he drew a comparative between the “progress of India in the world under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi” and the “backwardness of West Bengal under the leadership of the chief minister Mamata Banerjee”.
Claiming that the state has been brought to a “standstill” under Trinamul Congress rule, Mr Nadda said the BJP would end the “jungle raj of Mamata Banerjee in a day or two.” “As PMAY is being audited in West Bengal, massive irregularities have come up. It has shown that people who have two-three storey buildings received houses under the scheme. This is the situation in West Bengal,” he said.

Mr Nadda also said that West Bengal, despite having a woman chief minister, ‘tops’ the chart in terms of crime against women
The TMC stands for Terror, Mafia and Corruption. There is graft everywhere in West Bengal. Whether it is SSC recruitment or any other type of hiring, jobs are up for sale BJP chief added.
On the other hand, he said, the Prime Minister- led Union government does not differentiate among people, he claimed.
Ridiculing the statements made by him, Trinamul General Secretary and party spokesman Kunal Ghosh said that such tall talks does not suit Nadda, who despite being BJP’s national President, could not ensure his party’s victory in his own state of Himachal Pradesh in the recently concluded Assembly elections there.
